Core Feeders Information
Spar-Tek Industries manufactures core feeders for inline plywood assembly lines, usually called GP lines. These feeders come in a number of styles and the choice depends upon the width of the core they are made to handle and the speed of the line.
The simplest one is called a side feed core station and it uses two men, one to feed core sideways from a stack onto a rundown belt with another man, the core layer, to arrange it on the line.
The roll feed core feeder uses a set of pinch rolls to throw the core over the line and can feed small pieces of core faster than the side feed station. This approach is more commonly used with foam glue systems where elevated core stations are required.
