Multiple Opening Hot Presses Information
Spar-Tek multiple opening press frames are constructed with two vertical end frames that are keyed and bolted to matching machined faces on the cylinder base and press crown. This design creates a solid structure that maintains its integrity with no movement during a press cycle.
An adjustable platen guide system using replaceable brass wear strips is attached to the end frames. This angle guide maintains a constant clearance on the corner brackets and floating platen regardless of press temperatures and can be adjusted for wear or replaced without disassembly.
Platens in multiple opening hot presses have large drilled passages connected with milled edge ports covered with welded windows, creating an even heat distribution and high flow capacity for steam, thermal oil, water, or other heating methods.
Spar-Tek Multiple Opening hot presses are ideal for plywood, rubber, or other compositions requiring even pressure and temperature distribution.
Loading and unloading systems can be offered for many products and will be custom designed upon request. Presses are offered complete with automated controls and hydraulic systems or they can be designed to replace existing systems for special applications.
