Spar-Tek Industries manufactures rams and cylinders for any brand or style of press from 5” jacking rams to 18” main rams. The design includes extra-long bronze rod guides and wipers in the glands to maximize seal life and minimize wear from extended use.
New rams and cylinders are manufactured from seamless Gr1026 carbon steel tubing with wall thickness up to 3” and ram diameters up to 18”. These rams are built with large safety factors and can operate at over 5000psi if needed.
Rebuilding old press rams including boring out barrels for new bronze guides, replacing rods, and building new glands with wipers can extend the life of an old press and allow for faster press opening and closing speeds as well. Seals, wipers, bushings, and rods are also available. We can build parts from drawings or we will measure existing equipment to quote replacement parts. |
