Two Part Glue Metering Information
Spar-Tek Industries has developed a system to mix two-part adhesives right at the applicator. Using our established technology and two glue metering pumps, the two components are kept separate until just before they are applied to the surface.
The system uses a static blending tube to mix the components as they are pumped to the applicator. The line can be stopped and started without excess glue being mixed since the unmixed parts are returned to the storage tank in a closed loop during stops.
This system is used for mixing catalysts, hardeners, or other accelerators for cold pressing or accelerated glue bond times are needed.
Special valves, hoses, and components can be provided in the glue metering system to handle corrosive, hydrophobic, or other difficult or hazardous materials. The basic system uses a 316 grade stainless steel metering unit for compatibility with most solutions.
